Contracted again by Pep Boys Speed Shops, in association with Barrett Jackson Auctions & Sherwin Williams Automotive Paints, to airbrush a commemorative hood to Carroll Shelby (1923-2012) An American automobile designer & racing legend

Pep Boys Speed Shops marketing division, supplied Gary, with a 1968 Shelby Mustang hood & wanted it to be painted the now famous & original Shelby gold color. They asked if Gary could paint a portrait of Carroll. They new he could paint the 1968 Shelby Mustang on the hood.
The Shelby Foundation had to approve the idea & they did!
Gary was flown to Scottsdale Arizona, where he actually airbrushed the hood in front of thousands of amazed Barrett Jackson spectators.
