After a huge successfulendeavor at the Barrett Jackson Orange County, California Auction last June 2012, Gary was asked & contracted by Pep Boys Speed Shops, in association with Barrett Jackson Auctions & Sherwin Williams Automotive Paints to do another airbrushed art project for them at the Barrett Jackson Auction in Las Vegas this past September 2012.
Original Welcome to Las Vegas Sign
Pep Boys Speed Shops marketing division had the concept of modifying the original "WELCOME TO LAS VEGAS" sign, to read Barrett Jackson and to incorporate the associates manufacturer's logos. They also wanted a 1949 Mercury lead sled slammed down in the picture.
It was up to Gary to create it ---- on an original '49 Merc hood.
Many thanks to V&J Auto Body in Lindenhurst, NY for making the hood straight.
