Fire Department racing is unique to New York State and is filled with excitement. * BELOW the Roslyn Race Trucks...... is a YOU TUBE video of the Roslyn Drill Teams in competition. You can visit http://www.nysdrillteams.com for more information on the sport.
Fire Department Race Trucks are designed to recruit new members.
The concept is to get the next generation of young men and women to take an interest in their local fire companies. New volunteers are always needed!
There are two different race classes and each is used to teach the volunteers speed, safety, techniques and maneuvers upon arrival at a real fire situation.
Contact your local Fire Department to see if they take part in these exercises.
